Dr. Bana Mashnouk
Dr. Mashnouk graduated from Al-Baath University School of Dentistry in Hama, Syria. Together with her husband Waddah, also a physician, she decided to immigrate to the United States to further pursue her education. After passing all her required exams, Dr. Mashnouk attended the Dentistry Advanced Standing Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she graduated with the class of 1999. She was later accepted for a general medical residency at Illinois Masonic Hospital. During her time there, she was especially passionate about treating patients with physical and mental challenges. Later on in her professional career, she joined a pediatric practice, where she improved her communication skills and her love of kids flourished. When she opened her own dental practice in 2005, she made sure FAMILY was reflected in every aspect of the practice. Cass Family Dental came to life, where she is now proudly serving people of all ages.
The cosmetic part of the practice has a special place in her heart, due to personal experience with facial scaring and starting the aging process. These experiences motivated her to research, learn, and train regarding the latest approaches to maintain and improve the skin. She makes a conscious effort to understand individual concerns, customize different tools to serve specific needs, and provide advice on how best to care for the skin at any age.
In addition to her dedication to the health of her patients, Dr. Bana also personally tries to maintain a healthy lifestyle and work-life balance. Along with healthy eating, she enjoys exploring different cultures through travel and food and gardening when the Chicago weather permits. Active community participation and volunteering is also another passion of hers, and she is a member of multiple charity organizations – both local and international. Most importantly, however, Dr. Mashnouk enjoys spending time with her husband and two precious daughters, Dana and Hannah.
